July 28, 2023: The MP Design Group team joined Jackson County Board of Supervisors to celebrate the official ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated Jackson County Ballpark Road Fire Station. Our team is honored to have been trusted with the architectural design for the renovations of the old fire station.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The original station was approximate 4,300 square feet; a metal framed building that contained (4) truck/apparatus storage bays and a small quarters/office area for the fireman.
The new facility extended the space of the original building and converted (1) truck storage bay into additional living quarter space for fireman. Interior remodeling upgrades to the living quarters, front exterior façade improvements, storage bay door replacements, and installation of a new generator were all upgrades completed with the renovation.
In addition, a new 3,600 square feet, pre-engineered metal building that contains (3) apparatus storage bays, a conference room, and bathroom was constructed behind the original Fire Station. The project also included a number of site improvements.
