SUMMARY

MP designed the The Rolls Royce Center of Excellence II (COE2), a new 29,000 SF state of the art facility, with foundry and machining equipment that are capable of producing navy propellers up to 30’ in diameter.

MP teamed with Fletcher Construction in a design-build approach to deliver this $12.5M facility in less than 10 months to Rolls Royce North America.  The facility includes a foundation consisting of approximately 3000 CY of concrete, three large milling machines, a 125T bridge crane, a 30’ clear opening rolling door, a large laydown/production area, and a state of the art HVAC system that cools the entire facility.

MP performed all facets of design including Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and surveying.

Rolls Royce is the primary  source of ship propulsion systems to the Department of the Navy and provides 95% of propellors to the Navy fleet.
