SUMMARY

MP Design Group provided complete in-house turn-key A&E design services which included a feasibility study, ROM estimates, geotechnical investigations, site surveys and construction management. The design and construction of the two EA 488' long by 101' wide covered working areas provide the ability to assemble ship sections without interference of the elements and weather conditions. In addition, the designed portal crane provides aerial access to remove assembled ship sections with rolling light weight pre-engineered heavy duty vinyl tent structures. The structure was significantly economized by the use of the pre-engineered lightweight tents used as rolling covers as well as a brisole sun shade that significantly reduced the wind load in a hurricane zone. MP continues to provide construction support services to HII that includes weekly progress meetings, submittal reviews, RFI's, inspections, coordination and field surveys of underground utilities.
