SUMMARY

MP designed the new Biloxi Junior High School. The school consists of two buildings totaling 195,000 square feet constructed around an internal courtyard. The buildings are primarily masonry bearing walls with architectural brick face veneers. 


The buildings are cooled and heated with a fully redundant central plant system consisting of central chillers, cooling towers, and boilers with four pipe fan coils and air handlers throughout the buildings. 


The buildings contains approximately 52 typical classrooms; STEM classrooms, Special education classrooms; science labs with modular lab stations, computer classrooms; band hall with support storage areas, strings classroom, choral classroom, piano classroom; art classroom; media center with computer classroom; double court gymnasium with concessions, stage and 
basketball/volleyball locker rooms; and cafeteria and kitchen with an inside/outside dining area.
