SUMMARY
The new Superior Optical Lab was a $5,000,000 project that completed construction and opened in Spring of 2022. The 35,000 sf state-of-the-art facility features a 15,000 sf lab and manufacturing space, a 7,000 sf packaging and shipping department, as well as new corporate offices, lobby, employee work areas, break room and restrooms.
C. Roberds General Contractors partnered with MP Design Group for the Architectural Design and Engineering of the facility. Large and medium size package rooftop DX units were used throughout to heat and cool the spaces while a VA V diffuser system was utilized in the office areas to provide individual comfort control. A precise water, drainage, compressed air, and electrical design was produced by MP to seamlessly integrate the lab equipment and conveyor systems that were designed and manufactured in Europe specifically for this project.
