Position Overview:

MP Design Group is seeking a Project Manager with a background in architecture or engineering to support the successful delivery of design projects from planning through construction. This role is ideal for a design‑side professional who understands the technical rigor of architectural and engineering work and can manage schedules, coordination, and communication across multidisciplinary teams.​

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural and engineering projects through all phases of design and construction administration

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, coordinating between clients, consultants, and internal teams

• Plan, track, and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architectural, structural, civil, and MEP.

• Monitor project budgets, scope, and fee utilization to ensure alignment with contracts

• Lead internal coordination meetings and support client and stakeholder meetings

• Oversee the production and quality control of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

• Assist with agency coordination, permitting, and regulatory approvals

• Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications

• Identify and proactively address scope changes, schedule impacts, and project risks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience on the design side of architectural or engineering projects

• Strong understanding of the design and construction process

• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

• Working knowledge of common design and project management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction administration experience

• Experience working directly with owners, contractors, and regulatory agencies

• Strong attention to detail and quality control
